The washer protects against surges and atmospheric discharges.

The role of sharp protrusions is to penetrate the anodized layer of aluminum covering the frames of solar panels. This layer is an insulator and does not conduct electric charges. The protrusions provide electrical connection by reaching the layer of aluminum behind the anodized layer.

The contact plate is made of stainless steel, ensuring resistance to corrosion and providing uninterrupted operation for many years. Properties of A2 - 1.4301 Grade 304 steel: Austenitic stainless steel (non-magnetic), flexible, and stress-resistant. It is a high-alloy material with an increased chromium content, resulting in greater resistance to oxidation (corrosion). Due to low carbon content, the material's susceptibility to hardening increases, providing greater durability and strength.
