Grounding Washer / Plate for Equalizing Potentials of Frames, Structures, and Photovoltaic Modules

The grounding washer protects against overvoltages and lightning discharges. The role of the sharp protrusions is to pierce the anodized aluminum layer covering the frames of solar panels. This layer acts as an insulator and does not conduct electrical charges. The protrusions ensure electrical connection by reaching the aluminum layer beneath the anodized coating.

The contact plate is made of stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance and uninterrupted operation for many years.

Properties of A2 - 1.4301 Stainless Steel

Grade 304: Austenitic stainless steel (non-magnetic), flexible, and resistant to stress. It is a high-alloy material with increased chromium content, which enhances its resistance to oxidation (corrosion). The low carbon content improves hardening capabilities, resulting in greater durability and strength.
