The Ex9UE2 surge protector is an advanced Class II surge protection device, optimized to operate at 275 V AC voltage, with a discharge capacity of 20 kA (8/20 μs). This 4-pole surge protector is dedicated to photovoltaic systems, providing effective protection against transient surges caused by rapid switching or indirect lightning strikes (residual effects).

The Ex9UE2 series complies with Class II standards (Type 2, T2, C) and has been tested according to EN 61643-11. It is recommended to install this type of SPD every 10-20 meters of cable length, especially on main and secondary distribution panels. It works efficiently with Class I SPDs from the Ex9UE1 series, providing comprehensive system protection.

The construction based on metal oxide varistors ensures a short response time. The modular design with replaceable inserts allows for quick and easy replacement of functional modules in case the MOV's lifespan is exceeded due to frequent voltage surges.
